Meeting minutes – May 27, 2018

Held at Al and Linda’s home, attended by 13 people.  We divided into small groups to develop the elements to be included in our mission statement, and then combined these.   There was a lively discussion about our outing to Whole Village on May 12th, and we worked out plans for our upcoming presentation at The Mount.  (members click for full document)

Meeting minutes – June 24, 2018

Attended by 22 people at Kris and Marc’s home in Buckhorn.  We discussed membership criteria and fees, and reviewed a number of drafts of our mission statement.  We also talked about the upcoming Housing Summit to be hosted by MP Maryam Monsef on July 12th, our recent presentation at The Mount, and our upcoming series of cafe conversations at the Silver Bean.  (members click for full document)

Meeting minutes – July 8, 2018

We put some serious time into determining how to run our meetings, discussing the elements of the meeting, discussion protocol, the role of meeting chair.  We also instituted a policy of committee reports at meetings.  We heard about the upcoming CMHC Housing Summit hosted by MP Maryam Monsef on July 12th, and the qualification requirements for CMHC funding programs.  We worked some more on the mission statement, talked about upcoming training opportunities, membership fee collection, and possible meeting locations. (members click for full document)

Meeting minutes – July 29, 2018

Now that we have a number of working committees, we have begun getting their reports at every meeting.  We also formed new committees, to take a look at facilitated group dialogues, child care at meetings, and attendance at some upcoming training opportunities.  Everyone agreed that we could use some training to understand the technology we are using, and we made plans for our upcoming social event. Meeting Minutes – August 19, 2018

This time, our meeting was held at the Jewish Community Centre on Weller Street.  After all the committees reported in, we talked about funding for those members who are attending the NE Cohousing Summit in September, and continued our discussions on facilitated group dialogues and the elements of a meeting.  Sometimes figuring out these issues feels like a slow process, but we are making progress, one step at a time. (members click for full document)

Meeting Minutes – September 9, 2018

We met at the beautiful offices of Lett Architects on Simcoe Street.  During committee reports, we learned more about the CMHC affordable housing programs, the upcoming Cohousing Summit, and the newly completed road map.  We then agreed to institute a set of learning sessions on a trial basis beginning in October, and we came to a decision on child care reimbursement.  (members click for full document)
